The Nation’s first “stand alone” Green House homes.  There are six Green House homes, with ten bedrooms in each house and an open floor plan of the hearth, dining and kitchen area.  There is a private den and spa area in each home for the Elders to enjoy.  Elders are also able to enjoy an outside covered patio in a secured area.  There is a neighborhood feel as you drive through the campus.

Sponsoring Organization History
In 1961, United Methodist Senior Services of Mississippi established a special committee on aging ministries to develop plans for providing facilities and services to older persons in North Mississippi.  We are a nonprofit organization, and where possible, a charitable basis to serve without regard to religious affiliation, racial or ethnic background or economic circumstances.  The Green House homes are warm, sacred places filled with meaning.  They are places where Elders and Shahbazim come together to live, work and nurture each other.   They are places where all who assist Elders are honored and respected.
