SUMMARY:A Person-Centered Approach to Urinary Incontinence
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Rosemary Laird of Florida State University on August 31 at 3 p.m. ET for an enlightening webinar on the connections between urinary incontinence and elder wellbeing. \nIn this 45-minute webinar for nurses\, shahbazim\, and other caregivers\, you’ll learn how aging and other factors affect urinary health\, all with the goal of developing and implementing a truly person-centered care plan that honors elders’ dignity and prevents adverse health events. \nThe Green House Project will offer .75 nurse contact hours for completion of the webinar. The Green House Project is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by Maryland Nurses Association\, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. \nIn addition to serving as a clinical associate professor in the Department of Geriatrics at the Florida State University School of Medicine\, Dr. Laird is a principal investigator for ClinCloudResearch in Viera\, Fla. She received her medical degree with honors from the Georgetown University School of Medicine\, and she was named Geriatrician of the Year by the American Geriatrics Society in 2013.
