Green Houses are a new choice for individuals requiring skilled nursing services. These communities remove all institution-like elements, as they are designed with the home in mind and are built to support and uplift individuals to live life on their own terms and schedules.
As part of Tabitha’s commitment to providing a continuum of care, the organization also celebrates the upcoming May 2 opening of the new GracePointe Assisted Living & Memory Care Suites, a community for older adults who are not in need of skilled nursing care but would like extra help and support around the house.
GracePointe will feature an innovative lifestyle program for residents called “Promote Life,” headed up by life enrichment coordinator Charyl Lentz.
“Promote Life offers activities designed to maintain activity in the mind, body and soul while promoting health, independence and social interactions in a supportive environment,” Lentz told the Lincoln Journal Star. Group activities include cooking clubs, the Memories in the Making painting group (an Alzheimer’s Association initiative) and Go4Life-Fitness program (provided by National Institute of Aging).
