Scope of Services
Your Journey with THE GREEN HOUSE® Project
Through a collaborative process, The Green House Project supports the unique culture-change journey of each organization. Success is ensured by support in areas such as finance, regulations and design, as well as through innovative educational programs.
FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY
The first step is to ensure that organizations are set up for success with a shared vision, viable financial structure and strong leadership team. The Green House Project works with each organization to explore financing and financial feasibility, using an Excel-based financial model specifically designed for Green House adopters. Through a process of self-assessment, stakeholder focus groups and dialogue with leadership, The Green House Project creates a unique plan and pricing structure that meets the needs of the organization.
REGULATIONS
The Green House Project helps organizations create policies and procedures that reflect their deeply rooted commitment to person-directed care while respecting the work of regulators to support safety and quality of life for elders. Collaboration with local, state and federal regulators creates a shared understanding of the model and ensures that the homes meet or exceed current regulations.
DESIGN
The Green House Project team works with organizations to develop an interdisciplinary design team and to create homes that meet regulations and reflect the Green House model. The design process incorporates stakeholder input to ensure that the building, interior and furnishings are functional and reflective of the residential environment. Green House organizations have the option to utilize The Green House Prototype, a comprehensive design package which incorporates operational and architectural lessons learned for creating real home.
LEADERSHIP & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Education is a crucial component to create deep and sustainable culture change. More than 200 hours of education and leadership development programs are included in the Green House implementation process. These programs equip leaders to use a coaching approach to leading change, mentoring self-managed work teams and creating partnerships for clinical excellence. Green House Educators are identified at each organization to support ongoing workforce development and model integrity.
ONGOING SUPPORT
The Green House Peer Network is a community of organizations across the country that are committed to honoring The Green House trademark. The Peer Network serves as an invaluable channel for growing relationships, sharing successful practices and providing ongoing education to advance and sustain the integrity of the model. Green House organizations have a unique opportunity to leverage their voice in the Peer Network by engaging in policy work, thought leadership and ongoing research for improving long-term care.
